The Mercury Marauder X-100 was Mercury’s full-size, high-performance flagship during the 1969–1970 model years, positioned as a sporty yet luxurious competitor to the Pontiac Grand Prix and Oldsmobile Toronado. It combined big-block V8 power with Mercury’s upscale styling.

This is a more athletic Marauder, with special strengths of its own. Like a 429-cubic inch, 4-barrel V-8 that puts out 360 authoritative horsepower. Select-Shift automatic transmission. 1970 MARAUDER X-IOO AND MARAUDER
A dramatic and highly distinctive roof design with tunneled rear window immediately distinguishes the Marauder and Marauder X-100. An optional two-tone paint treatment for the rear deck can add to their distinction. ¥ The Marauder X-100 with its standard 360 horsepower, 429-4V V-8 engine and Select-Shift automatic transmission fully qualifies as an all-out performance machine. Luxury wheel covers, fender skirts on the rear quarter panels and white sidewall belted wide tread tires are also standard equipment.
The Marauder is a more economical approach to distinction in the field of sports motoring. It features six-passenger roominess and is powered by a husky 390 cubic inch basic engine. MARAUDER AND MARAUDER X-IOO INTERIORS
Marauder X-100 standard interior with Twin Comfort Lounge Seats distinctive feature of the Marauder X-100 is the choice of two totally different interiors-at no extra cost. The all-vinyl hi-back bucket seats and center sports console format is standard, but the Twin Comfort Lounge Seats may be selected instead. Other X-100 interior features include a luxury rim blow steering wheel, electric clock, bright seat de shields and front door courtesy lights.
The standard Marauder cloth-and-vinyl bench seat, shown in the upper picture on the left hand page, is available in black, dark red, medium blue, medium green and light gold. New simulated dark teakwood appliqués on the instrument panel are featured along with a new steering wheel design and rocker type light switches. An all-vinyl bench seat or Marauder X-100 hi-back bucket seats and center sports console interior may also be ordered at extra cost.
