
The 1988 Dodge Intrepid Concept was a bold and futuristic prototype unveiled by Dodge at the 1988 North American International Auto Show. It served as a preview of Chrysler’s design direction for the 1990s, particularly for its upcoming LH platform sedans.
The 1988 Dodge Intrepid Concept was a wedge-shaped two-door concept car considered by Dodge to be an aerodynamic leap into the future. Built off a modified Dodge Daytona chassis, the Wedge-shaped, aerodynamic body, full flush all-glass canopy, finished in deep candy apple red with 16-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminum wheels.
The Mid-mounted 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine called the “Turbo III”, rated at 225 horsepower and 225 feet pounds of torque paired with Five-speed manual gearbox.
