Maxwell-Briscoe Company was an early American automobile manufacturer that operated from 1904 to 1913. It was one of the most successful car companies of its time and served as the foundation for what later became Chrysler. In the 1920s, Walter P. Chrysler took over Maxwell, using it as the foundation for the Chrysler Corporation in 1925
