The 4th series of the sports sedan, styled by Marcello Gandini. Technically derived from the 4-door Biturbo 4.24v/430 4v with a wheelbase stretched by 5 cm to 2.65 meters. The first Maser’ with antilock braking and airbag (driver-side only at first). Twinturbo engines with 4-valve-heads and twin intercoolers. V6 of 2.0 litres and 287 hp with 6-speed manual gearbox. 2.8 version of 284 hp with 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual, 6-speed gearbox from 1995. V8 of 3.2 litres and 336 hp, derived and refined from the Shamal, launched in December 1995. 2.0-litre discontinued from 1997. The Evoluzione series of 2800 and 3200 was introduced by the new management in 1998. They had top speeds of 255 to 270 kph (159 to 169 mph). A total of 1,138 Quattroporte IV plus Evoluzione were made.
