The first-generation Chrysler Saratoga (1939–1942) was introduced as an upscale, performance-oriented model positioned between the mid-tier Windsor and the premium New Yorker. It featured luxury touches, long wheelbases, and Chrysler’s smooth-running straight-eight engine. The Saratoga offered the performance of a New Yorker but at a slightly more accessible price.
