Duesenberg Derham Tourster (1931)

The Duesenberg Model J was produced from 1928 to 1937, including the 1931 Duesenberg Model J Derham Tourster. The Duesenberg Motors Company went bankrupt in 1937, ending production of the Model J.  The Model J was designed to compete with the world’s most powerful and luxurious cars.
It was introduced at the New York Automobile Show in December 1928. The Model J was known for its reputation as the most powerful car ever built in America. Designed by Gordon Buehring, this is one of eight built on the Model J Chassis with seven extant. It retains the original body, wooden-frame chassis, engine and all major components.
