Datsun Trucks (1948-1966)

No.226 Datsun Truck (1948)
The Datsun 14 Truck was launched in February 1935.

The roots of the Datsun Truck and Van go back to the first Datsun, made before the war. In 1932, when this first-generation model was launched, vehicles that combined a Type 10/11 chassis with a van body were on the roads, but the first proper commercial model was the Datsun 13 Truck of 1934. Before the war, models up to the 17T were produced, while after the war the Datsun Truck was revived as the 1121. The D22 model thus represents the 16th generation.

No.226 Datsun Truck (1948)

The Datsun Truck series was born before the war as the Datsun 13 Truck (1934), later being revived after the war (1946) as the 1121. The 2225 was launched in 1947 as an improved version; with its 722cc engine, it had a 500kg load capacity and seating for two. The vehicles produced immediately after the war clearly demonstrate the hardships caused by shortages of materials. To cope with such difficulties, complex manufacturing processes were avoided and some parts of the body were even made of wood.
